Scouting has been an active part of CCUM's community ministry for more than 20 years. We serve approximately 200 girls, boys, young men and young women from the ages of 5 (girls) or 7 (boys) to 21. We have one Boy Scout Troop and eight Girl Scout Troops, as well as one Cub Scout Pack and one Brownie Troop. We also offer a co-ed ad-Venture Crew for older teenagers.
Starting with the basic skills, we encourage advancement in all our units focusing on SERVICE to God and individual GROWTH. Our scouts continuously earn more Gold awards for the girls and more Eagle ranks for the boys than the national averages. We actively encourage (but do not require) scouts to participate in the "God and...." series of scouting religious awards that are available at each age level.
We are always looking for new youth, new leaders, and new ideas to better serve the youth in our community.
We have a scouting program for you:
