Element Student Ministries

THE FOUNDATION OF ELEMENT STUDENT MINISTRY

ELEMENT

At Christ Church, we believe that the coming generation is one that could reach the nations for Christ! However, this mission is impossible when one is apart from Christ. In John 15:5 Jesus says, "Apart from me you can do nothing." Element Student Ministry exists to help students and their parents see the great need for dependency, faith, and trust in Christ for absolutely everything. This is a community of believers who seek to support, encourage, and equip one another to go out and be salt and light in a dark world.

Element Student Ministry strongly believes in the teaching of God's word, community, and mission. We believe that students need to be fed God's word on a regular basis. We strive to help students plug in to biblical community with one another to encourage each other, and hold each other accountable. Lastly, we believe that it is the mission of the church to go and make disciples of all nations. Here is what our Student Ministry looks like on a weekly basis:

STUDENT MINISTRY SCHEDULE

SUNDAY NIGHT STUDENT GATHERING: 5:30-7:30 PM

Students participate in dinner, fellowship, fun games, worship, and a time of teaching. Afterwards students break into smaller groups to discuss what God is teaching us and how to apply it to our everyday lives. This is a great place for new students to plug in.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT SMALL GROUPS: 6:00-7:30 PM

On Wednesday nights, students come together in age and gender specific small groups. We focus on building community, accountability, studying scripture, and prayer. Our Sr. High students meet in homes, and our Jr. High students meet in the youth area. We believe this is where true discipleship really occurs!

SUNDAY MORNING DISCIPLESHIP: 9:30-10:30 AM

This is an informative, hands-on, and discussion based class, covering a wide variety of topics such as how to read the Bible, how to pray, and how to share your testimony. At the end of each meeting, we depart with a devotional study based on a passage of scripture.

STUDENT MISSIONS: VARIOUS DATES

We believe that mission must be a priority in every ministry. Students are given opportunities throughout the year to serve in different areas of our city and in a refugee community in Nashville where they interact with people from all over the world. In the summer, we take an international mission trip to the nation of Costa Rica. It is our goal to be doers of the word and proclaim the message of Christ to those we encounter.

A vital part of this ministry is the equipping of parents to raise their children as Christ followers. We believe (and the Bible states) that it is the primary role of the parents to disciple their children and teach them the ways of Christ. We are dedicated to assisting each and every parent in this process.
