about history

Christ Church began as a church plant in 1973 under the leadership of Reverend Larry Dill.  152 individuals attended the first worship experience which was held in a specially designed mobile home.

In 1978, construction of the first permanent church facility was complete. Throughout the years, a fellowship hall, multiple classrooms, a Sanctuary, children and student facilities, and a Contemporary Worship Center have been added to the original building.

Bordering Berry Middle School and Spain Park High School campuses, Christ Church encompasses 18 acres near the corner of Caldwell Mill Road and Jaguar Drive.

With its mission of glorifying God, treasuring Jesus Christ, loving others, and making disciples of all peoples, Christ Church seeks to be an active catalyst in God transforming lives both locally and worldwide.

Pastors of Christ Church include Reverend Larry Dill ('73-'79), Reverend Byron White ('79-'90), Reverend Charles Betts ('90-'94), Reverend Charles Lee ('94-'01), Reverend Will Garrett ('01-'07), and Reverend Paul Lawler (‘07-present).
